Walking and Cycling

Most of Dunbar town is easily walkable and if you are a cyclist, you’ll know it is easy to get around fast.

There is bike parking outside.

Journey planning info and timetables are available from the TravelineScotland website.

  • East Linton or North Berwick Eves Coaches 120 service also stops on Dunbar High Street
  • Musselburgh, Edinburgh and the East then First Buses and Perryman’s stop outside Dunbar library (Delisle Street) – a minute’s walk away.
  • Berwick-upon-Tweed and the South, the Perryman’s service stops on Dunbar High Street, just round the corner from the office – 2 minute’s walk

Trains run to and from Edinburgh some stopping at Musselburgh roughly every hour during the day, but check your journey times carefully as they are irregularly timed. Visit National Rail Enquires or call 08457 48 49 50 for timetables.

The High Street is only a few minutes walk, for a bite to eat.

There is short and long stay parking at the station, at £4/day. If you need to drive please avoid the High Street. If you have business on the High Street, the Library at the Bleachingfield Centre, off Delisle Street has good facilities and there is also a large amount of under-utilised short and longer stay parking at the Countess Road Co-op sites, just around the corner (you can cut through Friar’s Croft), not to mention the ample Leisure Pool facility.
