New Pledgehog Project Video

A new video has been made thanks to Sandy Butler and East Lothian Climate Action Network to showcase Sustaining Dunbar’s Pledgehog Project. It was filmed in the fantastic Belhaven Community Garden and includes wonderful arial footage of the garden.

Please also have a look at another couple of initiatives in East Lothian that have the potential to be extremely beneficial to hedgehogs and lots of other wildlife.

East Lothian Nature Networks aim to increase wildlife corridors throughout the area. For example by sowing stretches of wildflowers or leaving areas of grass to grow longer.

And below is a video bringing to life plans for the East Lothian Hedgerow Restoration pilot. Ideal conservation work for hedgehogs…existing hedgerows being managed to encourage them to grow back closer to the ground and connecting up gaps, which should provide better cover and shelter for hedgehogs and ideally linking up habitats.

And if you’re looking for some inspiration to make places in your local area better for wildlife and people in the community, then this video about the Tranent Forest Garden is definitely worth a watch!
