Bike Hub and more

Dunbar Bike Hub, currently located in a converted container at Hallhill, is a three year partnership between Sustaining Dunbar, The Ridge, Dunbar Community Woodland Group, (plus Sunny Soups in year two). It is part of the Dunbar Skills Partnership which is funded by the ‘Investing in Communities’ fund.

Initially the project has three elements:

  1. Bike maintenance training
  2. Cycle confidence training
  3. Bike refurbishment/ rehoming

We will be doing outreach work at various locations in the area. Our remit is to target those who are experiencing fuel poverty. We are very much aiming to get more people cycling more often.

Unwanted bikes can be dropped off at the container on Wednesday and Friday mornings (10-12.30) -but we have limited storage capacity so please get in touch first.

We aim to rapidly rehome bikes that we receive.

If you have any unwanted cycles, please get in touch:

Donated bikes can also be dropped off at The Ridge to be rehomed.

The next bike maintenance workshop is in conjunction with West Barns Village Hall committee who are keen to promote sustainable living and cycling – August 26th 14.00-17.00 Book with Eventbrite.

Also watch out for a Fixing for a Future Bike workshop on August 19th at the Community Hall in East Linton.
