Community arts workshops mapping our local burns.

Over the coming months we are planning a series of community arts and other workshops in connection with the Rivers Project, an initiative seeking to kick-start landscape scale action across all five of the short river catchments in East Lammermuir.

We are starting with some creative mapping workshops, using art activities to explore, connect, look – and help us start to envision a biodiverse East Lammermuir in which nature is truly able to flourish.

Join local artist Anna Davis for fun and creative journal and mapping sessions along some of our local burns.

Dates and venues for the first workshops are as follows:

Saturday 25th October, 11am-2pm, Spott Village Hall –booking essential

Saturday 8th November, 10am-1pm, Stenton Village Hall –booking essential

Spaces are limited so booking is essential. Families with children of eight years and up are welcome. Workshops are free but donations towards costs are always welcome. Warm, waterproof clothing and footware essential!

We are planning to have an exhibition in Dunbar next year and hope that some of the work produced in these workshops will contribute towards that.

Watch this space for information on more workshops through the winter months.
