Join us on World Rivers Day for the final day of the FLOW exhibition at John Muir’s Birthplace. Meet Jenny, Sustaining Dunbar’s Catchment Restoration Development Officer, and Jo McNamara, Chair of Sustaining Dunbar, and discover more about our local rivers.
Learn about progress with Sustaining Dunbar’s landscape-scale Rivers Project, and get a taste of creative workshops to come with some simple printing with natural materials.
About the River Catchment Restoration project
A community initiative led by Sustaining Dunbar aiming to create a shared vision of a regenerating landscape and to explore how landowners and members of the wider community can work together to revitalise our coastal burns.

This event is part of East Lothian’s Rivers Weekend
To celebrate World Rivers Day, various groups and organisations in East Lothian are working together to host a weekend of events along and around our waterways. These free events run from Thursday 24th to Sunday 27th September and are open to anyone curious to connect more with the Tyne and the East Lammermuir burns.
Come listen more closely to our rivers and burns, and join us for guided walks, river sampling, presentations, children’s activities, creativity, and much more.
We hope this weekend will be a step towards more collective action for the health of our rivers, and all the life that depends on it!
