A ceilidh and meal to celebrate ten years of Belhaven Community Garden.
Ten years ago, in the autumn of 2012, we cut the first turf to start laying out the sensory garden. We had just reached an agreement with the NHS to establish a community garden in the grounds of Belhaven Hospital.
Since then, many people and local groups have been involved in shaping and looking after the garden. Together we have created a wonderful community resource that it is continuing to develop and meet an increasing range of local needs.
We are celebrating with a meal (largely using produce from the garden) and a ceilidh dance with Jo Cockburn’s band, BYOB.
The capacity of the hall is limited and we anticipate a lot of demand for tickets so please don’t delay.
